Gamers given last chance to transfer their progress from older consoles to fresh ones
IT'S your last chance to transfer Grand Theft Auto characters and progression.
Rockstar Games will migrate everything over to PlayStation Four, Xbox One or PC on March 6, it has warned.
The news hasn't gone down well with gamers.
But there's a way to bring your characters into this plucky fresh world.
Rockstar Games yesterday put out a statement reading: “If you have not yet brought your characters and progression over from PlayStation three or Xbox three hundred sixty to PlayStation Four, Xbox One or PC, time is running out as this will no longer be possible as of March 6th, 2017.
“Practice the definitive version of GTAV, which features across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to produce a stunning fresh level of detail, a movie editor designed for advanced movie-making inwards the game, and the massively upgraded GTA Online, with access to all the latest vehicles and gameplay from our continuing series of free updates including the latest Import/Export.”

Transferring to PlayStation Four
A copy of Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation Four.
Previous Grand Theft Auto Online character and eligible progression data on either PlayStation three or Xbox 360.
A Rockstar Games Social Club account.
A PlayStation Network account and PlayStation Plus membership.
If transferring from PlayStation Three, your Social Club account will need to be linked to the PlayStation Network account used to play GTA Online on both systems.
If transferring from Xbox 360, your Social Club account will need to be linked to the Xbox Live account used while playing GTA Online on Xbox three hundred sixty and the PlayStation Network account used to play GTA Online on PlayStation Four.
How to transfer your previous Grand Theft Auto Online character and progression data to PlayStation Four:
Commence Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation®4 and log into the PlayStation Network.
Inject GTA Online via the Character Select Wheel or the Pause Menu.
You will be given the option to transfer your previous GTA Online character and progression data, along with the chance to switch your character’s appearance again.
If you wish to finish the transfer later, you can comeback to this option via the Online section of the Pause Menu. Once you have chosen to transfer your previous character and progression data, the transferrable in-game money,
RP and Rank of all previous characters will be displayed. These are the characters that will be transferred to PlayStation Four.
If you have previous character and eligible progression data on both the PlayStation three and Xbox 360, you will be prompted to select one set of data.
You can only transfer one set of character and progression data for your PlayStation®Network account on PlayStation Four.
Once the transfer has finished, you will be prompted to choose a character and come in GTA Online.

Note: When transferring from Xbox three hundred sixty to Xbox One you must use the same Gamertag. A fresh Gamertag on Xbox One cannot be transferred to from a different Gamertag on Xbox three hundred sixty since your character’s progress is tied to the Gamertag.

An Xbox Live Gold account. If transferring from Xbox 360, your Social Club account will need to be linked to the Xbox Live account used to play GTA Online on both systems.
If transferring from PlayStation Trio, your Social Club account will need to be linked to the PlayStation Network account used while playing GTA Online on PlayStation three and the Xbox Live account used to play GTA Online on Xbox One.
