Chico Missing Woman Found Safe

A missing Chico woman has been found. 25-year-old Tatiana Medeiros she was found safe and sound around five am this morning. This after she was last seen around 7:30 Monday evening near the Olive Garden on Business Lane. According to police, Medeiros was found by maintenance workers at the Oxford Suites which is across the street from the Olive Garden. Reports say that she has since been reunited with her family.

Chico Domestic Violence Arrest

Chico Police make an arrest in a domestic violence case. Chico Police received a call from a woman around 1:30 Monday afternoon who said she was inwards a business on Rio Lindo Avenue. The woman said that she was a victim of domestic violence and that the suspect allegedly threatened her with a firearm. She then said she last spotted the suspect inject a gold SUV in the parking lot of the business. Officers arrived and put the building on lockdown. They then found the SUV and detai ned the driver and the suspect. Officers found two handguns and arrested the suspect. According to a Chico Police Department press release, officers determined that the driver was unaware of the situation and he was released, but not before he was sited for carrying a gun illegally.

The Chico Police Department also wants the public to know that they work closely with Catalyst Domestic Violence Services. The police department reports incidents of domestic violence calls to the organization which they say offers victims a host of services including crisis intervention and emergency shelter.

Chico Police want to remind the public to go after safety precautions to reduce the likely spandex hood of becoming a victim of burglary.

* Most burglaries happen during the day. When you leave your house reminisce to close blinds or curtains and do not leave valuables in look.

* You should always keep your home and vehicle windows closed and doors locked.

* If you have a home alarm system, use it and have signs advertising that your property is protected by an alarm.

* Know your neighbors and look out for each other.

Police also say to be aware of unusual activity taking place in an apartment unit or home you know is vacant. If you suspect individuals are living in the property or if there is illegal activity is occurring to notify the police.

Police detect an apartment with squatters while investigating a burglary. A 23-year-old woman called Chico Police after she woke up to find someone in her apartment on Hobart Street just before 7:30 am Tuesday. She hid in the closet while talking with dispatchers. According to Police, the woman looked into the family room and witnessed a man carrying items. Police then arrived and set up a perimeter. The suspect commenced to leave the apartment but when he spotted the officers he f led back inwards. He attempted to escape into the backyard, but he was met by more officers. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Esteban Salazar surrendered and was arrested.

According to a Chico Police Department press release, while officers were investigating they found a female relative of Salazar living in a nearby vacant apartment. While there officers also found 45-year-old Troy Dean in attic. He was found in possession of narcotics and he was arrested.

Butte County Sheriff`s Office Special Enforcement Unit Along With Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force Seize Approximately $483,000.00 Worth Of Processed Marijuana And Butane Honey Oil From An Oroville Property

Oroville, CA–On July 27, two thousand seventeen members of the Butte County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) along with members of Butte lnteragency Narcotics Task Force (BlNTF) served a search warrant in the four thousand four hundred block of Foothill Boulevard, Oroville.

Located inwards a large metal shop on the property was an elaborate indoor hydroponic marijuana grow. The cost of the hydroponic system equipment is estimated to be in excess of $500,000.00.

A total of seven hundred seventy eight marijuana plants were located in several different hydroponic rooms along with one hundred thirty two pounds of processed marijuana bud, packaged for sale, The shop also held items used in the manufacturing of butane honey oil (BHO).

Outside of the shop was a large enclosed trailer containing a mobile butane honey oil lab with equipment valued at over $50,000.00. The remainder of the butane honey oil lab components were located inwards the trailer to include two one hundred pound tanks of a butane/propane mix, recirculation pumps, closed loop BHO system, and two large vacuum purge ovens, which were in operation and packed with sheets of BHO. ln total sixteen pounds of BHO was seized.

The value of the processed marijuana and butane honey oil seized is estimated to be $483,000.00 wholesale in California.

Arrested at the scene was Destin Brown, age 36, of Roseville, California, Alejandro Villegas, age 46, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Adriel Noriega, age 25, of Bradenton, Florida, Mark Holtfreter, age 29, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, and John Delorenzo, age 37, of Deerfield Beach, Florida.

All were transported to the Butte County Jail and arrested for manufacturing of a managed substance, cultivation of marijuana, and possession of marijuana for sale. All have a bail amount of $102,000.00.

Five Arrested in a Drug Raid in Chico

Members of the Butte County Interagency Narcotic Task Force along with Chico Police conducted a raid at a home on Village Lane around 6:30 Wednesday evening. Detectives found numerous prescription pills, digital scales, and numerous smoking devices used for heroin and methamphetamine. They also found used syringes and a loaded twelve guage shotgun. Detectives arrested five people at the house. A sixth person was detained and later released. According to a Chico Police Department press release, one of those arrested, 36-year-old Krista Needham is reportedly employed as a health-care provider in both Chico and Oroville. Authorities are investigating whether Needham gained access to drugs through her employment.

The identities of the sergeant and officer involved in the fatal downtown shooting of a suspect have been released.

Chico Police say one man is dead and two officers injured in a late night incident at a downtown Chico business. Around Ten:30 Sunday night police were alerted to an alarm at Mid Valley Title and Escrow on six hundred one Main Street. A security guard located a suspect outside the business and made contact with him. The suspect allegedly stabbed the security guard. Police say that caused a significant wound. The guard reportedly fired his handgun at the suspect who then fled. Police arriv ed and entered the business and found a suspect in the bathroom. He allegedly slashed two officers in the neck and face. According to Chico Police Department Press Release. An officer fired his weapon striking the suspect and he gave way to his wounds. The police officers were treated at the hospital and have been released.

The incident is now being investigated by The Butte County Officer Involved Shooting Investigation Team, led by Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey.

Police reported minutes ago that the northbound lane of Main Street has been reopened.

A vegetation fire burns in Glenn County. The Creek Fire embarked near Stony Creek Drive north of Orland after five pm Wednesday. The fire has reportedly burned around sixty acres and is now ninety five percent contained. The fire has burned dead grass as well as some trees. The foreword progress of the fire has been stopped. There were initial evacuations at homes nearby and the Shady Oaks R-V campground, but those orders have since been lifted. No structures have been bruised. One firefighter was injured overnight.

Wall Fire one hundred Percent Contained

Fire crews contain the disruptive Wall Fire. The blaze that embarked north of Bangor on July 7th burned 6,033 acres and is now one hundred percent contained. That fire, at its peak, caused the evacuation of hundreds of Butte County residents. Forty one homes were demolished and three were bruised. Fifty seven other structures were either ruined or bruised in the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

According to the Cal Fire website, the cause of the wildfire is still under investigation.

Much progress is being made to contain the Wall fire in Butte County. The blaze, that began last Friday north of Bangor has burned 6,033 acres and is eighty five percent contained. Forty one residences were demolished and three bruised. Forty eight minor structures demolished in the blaze. According to Cal Fire’s website, No structures are threatened.

No injuries have been reported from the Wall Fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Four vehicles collide with a big equipment near Willows this morning. The pill up happened on Interstate five near County Road south of Willows after five am this morning. The CHP reported one vehicle overturned and a person was pinned underneath. That person was flown to the hospital for major injuries. The southbound lanes were closed while authorities worked at the scene. Those lanes were opened after 6:30 this morning.

Conditions: The fire proceeds to burn actively. The fire is searing primarily to the northeast, and southeast. Hot dry weather is expected to proceed in the fire area. Firefighters are working to control the fire, and reduce the threat of property harm.
