Cars: Hi-Octane Edition

About

Cars: Hi-Octane Edition is a community-made modification (mod) for the PC version of Cars: Mater-National Championship. It is continually being updated, which will hopefully proceed until it has reached the best quality possible.

The general aim for the project is to combine numerous elements from Cars, Cars: Mater-National Championship and Cars: Race-O-Rama into one product. Characters and tracks from all three games are featured, including ones that weren’t playable in their respective games. However the primary concentrate of the mod at this point in time is the Arcade Race mode, we hope to eventually edit the mini-games and story mode.

If you find any bugs, don’t hesitate to tell us – we’ll attempt our best fix it and release a patch if necessary. To report a bug, visit our bug reporting page and post in the comments. We’ll add the bug to the list from that point. If you want to request paint jobs to add to the mod, go to the paint job request page, and if you want to talk about other topics, you should visit in our forum.

Version 1.9.Two.Two (beta)

The beta version of 1.9.Two.Two was released on July 15th, 2017, and with it being a beta, not much fresh content was added. It includes a few fresh paintjobs, fresh character models for Flo, Sheriff, and Sarge, working animations for Judd, some more improved textures, the Piston Cup racers as separate characters instead of them all being combined into one, and some minor bug fixes.

To install it, substitute the DataPC folder in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Cars Mater-National (back it up somewhere very first) with the one you get with the download.

Version 1.9.Two.Two

The final version of 1.9.Two.Two was released on September 1st, two thousand seventeen and there was a lot of fresh content! Such as the unused mode Time Trial restored, around twenty fresh paintjobs, around sixteen fresh songs, more texture improvements, plus some more minor bugs fixes. It’s has a few serious bugs, which we will fix in middle of September (we will release a patch).

WARNING: Don’t play as these characters: Chick Hicks, Doc and Chick’s Student one and Two, VIN, and Bubba. Their voices are presently unfinished and will crash your game upon one of the voiceclips playing. This is more than likely because they are only listed in rivulets.txt and not flows.juk, however to ‘fix’ this bug, you can simply disable the voices. Do this by going to DataPC\C\Audio\Dialogue, and simply rename CHI.aud, STUH1.aud, STUH2.aud, STUC1.aud, STUC2.aud, VNN.aud, and BUB.aud to have an exclamation point at the embark of their name. This will disable them so the voiceclips won’t attempt to play anymore, but playing as the characters won’t crash your game anymore.

Download version 1.9.Two.Two here: Release in this week (3-10 of September)

To install it, substitute the DataPC folder in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Cars Mater-National (back it up somewhere very first) with the one you get with the download. (If you don’t have Steam folder – just skip it and go to your game folder.
