Two killed in 3-vehicle crash on I-264 near Oceanfront

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Two people were killed Wednesday in a crash on Interstate two hundred sixty four in Virginia Beach.

A Virginia State Police sergeant tells WAVY.com one of the three vehicles involved in the crash came across the median to the westbound side of I-264, and hit the other two head-on. It happened near the Birdneck Road overpass.

According to state police, 61-year-old Michael Terance Goldstone, of Virginia Beach, was killed when his silver Ford Taurus came across the median into oncoming traffic.

Goldstone’s vehicle hit a gray Toyota Corolla driven by 53-year-old Darlene Varney, of Virginia Beach. Police say Goldstone’s vehicle then struck a green Suzuki Sidekick driven by 23-year-old Aaron Miles Collier, of Virginia Beach.

Both Goldstone and Collier were pronounced dead at the scene. Varney was taken to Virginia Beach General Hospital with minor injuries.
