Kia Picanto two thousand seventeen – Is this fresh version their best city car ever?
Fresh Kia Picanto two thousand seventeen will go on sale from £9,450
Kia claim that the latest city car is the most technologically advanced, stylish, refined and sportiest petite car they`ve ever produced.
These are fairly sizeable claims but they claims could stand up with the latest version of the Picanto, which has big amounts of appeal and features included.
When the car launches there will be nine different versions of the car including two engine and transmission options along with five trim lines – 1,Two,Three GT-Line and GT-Line S.
Later in the year, the most powerful engine ever suggested on a Picanto, a 99bhp 1.0-litre T-GDi turbocharged unit will become available.

Kia has ditched the three-door option, which only accounted for ten per cent of the car`s total sales, instead suggesting just the more practical five-door.
The fresh car shares the same dimensions as the previous generation, retaining its puny and compact design, but the front is shorter and rear is longer, which permits for greater luggage space inwards.
Boot space has enlargened from 200-litres to 255-litres due to the longer rear end providing it a max fountain space of 1,010-litres with the rear seats folded.
The Picanto GT-Line S is an even more dynamic and sportier looking car
Every version of the car comes with the ‘1` trim specs which include electrical front windows, remote locking with a folding key, tinted windows, a radio with AUX and USB ports, a tilt-adjustable steering column, automatic headlight control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), 60:40 split folding rear seats and six airbags.
Upgrading to the higher trim levels such as the ‘Three` will add other features such as 15-inch alloy wheels, seven-inch infotainment system with Sat Nav and connectivity, cruise control, Autonomous Emergency Braking and other styling/functionality features.
On the top spec GT-Line-S trims you get even more features including fatter alloys, wireless phone charger, electrical sunroof, heated front seat, rear parking camera and sensors, TomTom and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The car’s boot space has enhanced by 55-litres
The Picanto has always been viewed as a ‘nice` city car. Kia seem to be attempting to veer away from that photo by opting for a more dynamic and sporty design.
At the front there are broader grilles and air intkes flanked by the headlights.
Air curtains on the side grilles channel air away from the wheel arches and wheels to improve aerodynamics.
The bumpers have also been redesigned and are more pronounced on the fresh car than its predecessors.
Chrome detailing emerges across the bod and the black radiator grille gives the car an overall more sporty look.
There are numerous different trim levels on suggest when it goes on sale
A choice of three petrol engines on the fresh Picante – two 1.0-litres and one 1.23-litre.
The 99bhp three-cylinder 1.0-litre T-GDi unit will become available later in the year but a 66bhp 10-litre engineer and an 83bhp 1.25-litre will be be options to chose when it goes on sale.
The entry-level 1.0-litre engine is capable of 64.2mpg, with CO2 emissions of only 101g/km, making it a cheap car to run and tax.
