A man is in custody after a dangerous high-speed police pursue that lasted almost two hours came to an end peacefully.
Numerous officers had their guns drawn as the 29-year-old Kansas City man ultimately walked out of the stolen truck with his forearms above his head.
This comes after a Kansas City police officer was investigating a non-injury hit-and-run accident about Ten:30 a.m. in the area of 31st Street and Broadway when his vehicle was clipped by a white Nissan pick-up, unrelated to the initial hit-and-run.
The officer attempted to contact the driver of the pick-up, but he fled the scene.
Officers on the ground and with the assistance of the police helicopter located the vehicle several minutes later.
The man frequently drove the wrong way on snow-covered streets and highways and drove off the road through yards, wooded areas and a golf course. Numerous times via the pursue, the man reached speeds over one hundred mph.

Officers from Kansas City, Grandview, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and various Kansas agencies collaborated to apprehend the suspect as it wound through several jurisdictions.
“During these kinds of vehicle pursuits, the officers truly have to keep in mind the totality of the circumstances,” said Kansas City police captain Ryan Mills. “They have to pay attention to everything.”
At one point, the suspect abandoned his initial vehicle and carjacked a white Ford pick-up truck and continued to flee until he was taken into custody at 105th Terrace and College in Kansas City.

There were no injuries as a result of the pursuit and the initial Nissan was later learned to be a stolen vehicle from Kansas.
Leawood family`s garage becomes crime scene
Toby Boschert heard Chopper five and knew something was going on.
Shortly after, an officer banged on his door to let him know a police pursue suspect had gone inwards his garage.
His son then shouted “you are not going to believe this” and they observed that exact moment on KCTV5 as Chopper five displayed the pursue.
The suspect drove through a nearby golf course and tore through his neighbor’s yards.

Boschert is appreciative the man didn’t attempt to come inwards his home or hurt any of his neighbors with his erratic driving.
«The man came through this yard over here, then came up the street and witnessed my garage was open,» Boschert said. «So he pulled in the driveway right here and commenced rooting around inwards of my car to see if he could find the keys. He couldn’t find the keys so he leaped back in his car and determined to give my front lawn a little lawn job.»
