A man has stolen a hoverboard from a group of teenagers after confronting them with an axe on the Central Coast. The incident occurred shortly before Two:30pm yesterday, on Liamena Avenue in San Remo. The three boys, all aged 15, ran from the man when he demanded their belongings, leaving behind an electrical hover board. The man picked up the board and fled. Police would like to speak to a man who might be able to assist with inquiries. He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait islander appearance, and of a slender build. He was wearing a black balaclava and carrying an axe at the time.

Controversial plans to build a train maintenance facility at Kangy Angy has been given the green light. The proposal has drawn the ire of residents living nearby – but today, Transport for Fresh South Wales confirmed construction will begin instantaneously.

The Central Coast’s Meals on Wheels is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The organisation has taken the chance to reflect on a long history of delivering nutritious meals to the vulnerable, as well as looking to the future.
