The officer suffered a significant head injury and underwent surgery for a skull fracture and bleeding, while Ettz was treated for minor injuries. Canaje was not hurt in the accident. Breslin, a 39-year-old married father of two, was hospitalized in critical condition. Besides his head injuries, authorities say he also may have suffered cracked ribs in the crash.
